Gold CSR Accreditation
Collaborating with partners and charities driving positive change in the highways sector
We are Celebrating Achieving Gold CSR Accreditation!

We're pleased to announce that Meon has been awarded Gold CSR Accreditation with a score of 91%, recognising our commitment to responsible business practices across environment, workplace, community, and philanthropy.
This achievement reflects the work of our entire team and the support of our partners, clients, and the communities we serve. It's a recognition that corporate social responsibility is embedded in how we operate day to day.
Our CEO, Gary Spencer, wanted to take this opportunity to recognise the significance of this achievement, and what it means for the future of Meon:
"This Gold CSR Accreditation is a fantastic achievement for everyone at Meon. It demonstrates how our collective actions, whether through sustainability initiatives, supporting our people, or giving back to the community, truly matter.
For us, this is just the beginning; weโll continue to build on this success and push ourselves to create even greater impact."
What This Means
The accreditation assessed our work across four key areas:
Environment: Our efforts to reduce environmental impact in the highways sector, including lifecycle product assessments, circular economy practices, and carbon reduction initiatives like our solar generation programme.
Workplace: Our focus on staff development through apprenticeships, internal promotion, flexible working, and volunteering days - with 50% of our team already taking part.
Community: Our engagement with local causes including pothole repairs, youth skills development, and mental health awareness, alongside working with schools and colleges to address the skills gap in our sector.
Philanthropy: Our ongoing support for local charities and enabling staff to participate in volunteering activities.

Looking Forward
Whilst we're proud of this recognition, we see it as a foundation rather than a finish line.
The assessment highlighted areas where we can push further - from expanding our environmental reporting and setting clearer targets, to measuring the impact of our community initiatives more rigorously.
We're always looking at how we can use our position to address emerging challenges in the highways sector, like helping reduce thermoplastic microplastic polution, cutting carbon usage for road maintenance, and removing the need of hot material during road reinstatement.
Thank You!
This accreditation belongs to everyone who contributes to our CSR efforts - our staff who volunteer their time and bring forward ideas, our partners who collaborate with us on sustainability projects, our clients who support our initiatives, and the charities and community organisations we work with.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
