The notorious Bow roundabout was in urgent need of an upgrade due to the high volume of shared use.

The Need:

Bow Roundabout, an extremely busy intersection in East London was in urgent need of an upgrade due to its high volume of shared use. Many Safety concerns had been raised to make the junction more approachable for cyclists and pedestrians, keeping them from danger of any vehicular movements.

Solution:

DekorGrip Resin Bound surfacing was selected in multiple colours to clearly segregate zones and areas around the roundabout. The blend is extremely hard wearing and slip resistant, making it safer for everyone to use.

Summary:

the project went very smoothly and the roundabout is now fully open to the public. TfL were very pleased with the results and how they promote a safe and consistent flow of traffic.
