Meon Exhibits at Highways UK 2022: Innovation, Sustainability, and Investment for Britain’s Roads

The NEC in Birmingham was home to Highways UK on November 2nd and 3rd. This exciting event included a conference packed with industry experts, and an exhibition of over 200 exhibitors from around the world, bringing with them innovative and sustainable solutions to the highways industry.

As the UK’s largest dedicated traffic management, transport and parking event, Highways UK included multiple conference theatres, and guests were able to visit exhibitions and learn about the most promising developments in the industry during the event.

Highways UK successfully showcased new innovations that could help improve the planning, development, management, maintenance, and future proofing of the nation’s roads networks. Project Highways Zero, presented by Meon, were thrilled to be able to attend this event to discuss sustainable projects and collaborations.

Many guests stopped by at the Project Highways Zero | Meon stand to discuss working on projects together to achieve Net Zero Highways.

Meon’s commitment to carbon net zero is reflected in their over-arching objectives to ensure safety, durability, and sustainability is achieved on each and every project carried out across the UK’s infrastructure:

  • Safety: Focused on improved road safety through performance whilst removing high risk operations in support of the industries Zero Carbon goal.
  • Durability: For every application, we aim to be able to demonstrate ways to reduce Whole-Life costs through improved system performance.
  • Sustainability: Supporting central government Decarbonisation strategy with a goal to reach net zero by 2050.
