Meon worked with FMC to set up a night trial in parliament square to test the durability and effectiveness of MMA paints in such a busy area.
The Need:
Westminster have had a problem in certain areas with high traffic volumes wearing down thermoplastic lines very quickly, resulting in some areas being classed as safety risks due to the extreme wearing of the lines.
Solution
FM Conway felt that MMA should be trialled, using a spray system as it is quick to apply and very fast curing. A night trial was arranged with Meon and FM Conway, using UltraSpray and beads for reflectivity
Summary
This created new long lasting lines around the area of parliament square which the council and contractor were extremely pleased with. The client is now monitoring the results, bus has already requested a full presentation of business case for the product.
