The Need:
A new ‘state of the art’ bus depot in Accrington required clear, durable markings to complete the external works. The clients listed their requirements which included the following:
- Durability to maximise the surface life
- Clear visibility of safe routes for pedestrians and vehicles to minimise risks of accidents
- Safety of all pedestrians by providing high slip-resistance.
Solution:
MMA was used due to its proven durability and high-visibility, as well as single pack acrylics, slip resistant coatings, and solvent-based acrylics. All safe walkways were coated in very visible colours, increasing safety for pedestrians.
Summary:
The finished project demonstrated how different products can coordinate to give an effective and excellent result. Meon later received feedback from the client confirming the effectiveness of the new markings.
