SELF-DELIVERY OF LINE MARKING

Alan Bartlett and Sons food production factory hire up to 500 people on site in their factory. Fresh produce requires quick turn arounds and efficient processes. To ensure the most lean and flexible manufacturing is adhered to Alan Bartlett and Sons brought internal and external line marking in-house.

SOLUTION

Alan Bartlett and Sons avoided contaminating food manufacturing areas by purchasing a fully electric line marking machine the ES 1000. The Graco LineLazer ES 1000 was a suitable machine for internal factory line marking areas, walkways, distribution areas and external car parks and loading areas associated with the factory.

Previous lines were fading, and applied by hand.

The training received and engagement from our team internally has surpassed our expectations, thanks to Meon we are able to ‘own’ our site safety make lean management efficiency savings and reduce overheads. Self-delivery of line marking wasn’t high on my priorities, but it has proved to be a great investment.

SUMMARY

The training provided by Meon and the support in getting the right products for each line marking job on in the factory has allowed Alan Bartlett and Sons to produce a more efficient and lean factory. The seasonal nature of the food production allowed the team to take on site improvements in quieter times and ensure the areas were up to specification in the busier harvest periods.
