After a survey revealed 52% of locals had never visited Stour Valley Nature Reserve in Bournemouth, a project was undertaken to make it fully accessible to all members of the public, as well as creating an attractive surface.
The Need:
After a survey revealed 52% of locals had never visited Stour Valley Nature Reserve in Bournemouth, a project was undertaken to make it fully accessible to all members of the public, as well as creating an attractive surface.
Solution:
Natural Wicker Resin Bound was selected for the project as it answered all of the concerns underlined; It was safe, slip-resistant, and complimented the surrounding area.
Summary:
Bournemouth Borough Council were thrilled with the final result which opened to the public in May 2016. The reserve was their first to be awarded a Green Flag on its beautiful 3 mile stretch of water, and visitors are now able to reach the barn without getting their feet wet.
